Compassionate Friends Honolulu provides a supportive community for parents, grandparents, and siblings who have experienced the loss of a child, grandchild, or sibling. We offer a safe space to share your grief, find comfort, and connect with others who understand your journey.
The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families in the positive resolution of grief following the loss of a child, grandchild, or sibling and to provide highly personal comfort, hope, and support.
The secret to The Compassionate Friends (TCF) success is simple: As seasoned grievers reach out to the newly bereaved, energy that has been directed inward begins to flow outward and both are helpful towards healing. The vision of The Compassionate Friends is that everyone who needs us will find us and everyone who finds us will be helped.
The Compassionate Friends ~ Honolulu Chapter is a part of a national nonprofit, peer grief support organization which offers friendship and understanding to families who are grieving the loss of a child, grandchild, or sibling of any age, from any cause. There is no religious affiliation. There are no membership fees or dues, and all bereaved family members are welcome
Through my own experiences I have found that helping others through their grief journey has strengthened my own journey. The memories of my son are positively reinforced as other bereaved parents share their stories, memories and experiences. We Need Not Walk Alone. That simple phrase resonates throughout my journey.
